Julia wonderful competition partner, Anar, is being retired to stud by owner Amelia Hawthorne. And what a great note she finished on at Adelaide Royal 2009, where she placed in all classes of the competitive Part 2 series.
A talented and careful Thoroughbred mare by Pride of Kellina, Anar had World Cupped with Billy Raymont before retiring for a short time to breeding duties. Back on track with Julia after EI, the pair placed 4th in the Grand Prix at Gunnedah Showjumping Festival in June 2008.
At the Queensland State Titles in July, Anar placed a creditable 7th in the 1.35m final, then followed this up with a 5th placing in the challenging 1.45m class at Toowoomba World Cup Show the following weekend.
