Star Prospect

Owned by Amanda Young, Buzz began his eventing career with Simonne Kann and Sharmayne Spencer in Queensland, and was subsequently purchased by Hamish Cargill who took him to 2-Star and was listed with him on the Young Rider Squad in 2003.

He moved onto easy street with Amanda in 2004, promptly going lame and requiring many months paddock rest, followed by many more months trail riding. But the pair are back. After moving into the training programme at Copabella earlier in 2008, they debuted in style at Pre-Novice at the NSW State Championships in October. They posted clear rounds showjumping and cross-country as well, but with a few time faults, which placed them 13th overall in a particularly competitive field.

Buzz is now enjoying an even more relaxed way of life on a long term lease to Louise King where they will be doing lower levels eventing. Already she has taken him out at Intro at Camden ODE after only 3 weeks of riding him. Louise is in her second last year of veterinary science, is working at Agnes Banks Equine Clinic and in training with Chris Burton. Buzz moved from Copabella April 2009.
