It was a sad decision to retire Visage from showjumping in hopes of maintaining his soundness for longer. But he loves to work so we decided a career change might be in order. His first outing as a dressage horse was a bit of a challenge. Neither he nor Brooke had ever competed at a dressage competition, so heading off to do the Elementary classes at the 2015 Hawkesbury Dressage Championships at SIEC was a leap of faith. And it paid off. Visage was definitely excited to be back out, and he was read more...

By Victorieux (Imp) Honey is cousin to other Copabella residents Cyrano and Rhodes. Like them she is bay, beautiful, talented and thinks these attributes really should be enough to keep her well-housed and loved. In other words, kind of lazy. Honey is owned by Sophie Corker who is having a lot of fun as well as success training and competing in dressage.

Kate Overton in Queensland kindly sold us Cyrano back in 2000, as she needed to concentrate on her young horses. A Connemarra, he and his owner Elayne Verner regularly come home bearing ribbons after their dressage and show outings. In 2010, Paddy campaigned with Julia while Elayne recovered from a broken arm, and he fast became a crowd favourite, with wins at Maitland in the 80cm and 90cm classes. He then graduated to 1.05m classes and continued to rise effortlessly to the occasion. In May, he read more...

After Cyrano joined the team, we were so impressed that we got in touch with Eleanor Russell, his breeder, to see if there were any more. And there was Rollei, a gangly big weanling who looked a lot like his brother but with longer legs. And he just kept growing.Born in 2000 and an impressive 17.2 hands, Rollei now belongs to Canadian rider Susan Greenwood, who focuses on his dressage training here at Copabella. The pair have improved in leaps and bounds, and Rollei started competing read more...
