Great Report from Canada

[OFFICIAL BIRTH POST] When we heard the water broke around 1:45 tonight, April 25, we were so ready to do it with you Roszicka ! We know you need us to do that together and we were so ready.
When we got the first leg out, then a second one, Étienne asked me if I had realized that the legs of your foal were white. No I had not, I was so concentrated on the job !
Yeah... the foal was a tobiano !
Then... I confirmed we had it's head on the way, and when I saw this nose, I knew right away it was looking like a flashy one.
We worked hard with you and got him out. Once he was out and woke up, we were so releaved. Everything looked fine.
Étienne told me again... look Gabrièle, do you see the small spots all over him ? I had not, I was still focusing on the job.
« Omg... Maybe he is homozygous ???? », I thought... how lucky would we be to have such a special foal ?
While I was looking at everyone to verify all was safe, Étienne tels me again : « I think he has a blue eye ». Omg, again. Can it really be ?
« Noooo ! It's 2 blue eyes ! »
Étienne also had me verify, and I can confirm Dr Raggio was right, it's a colt !!! πŸ™‚
We worked a couple hours to get this very tall foal on its legs and even needed the precious help of our neighbor Sheila, but he is now doing very good, standing by himself, walking around the stall and drinking like crazy at the milk bar !
DNA hair sample will be sent shortly to verify if he does carry 2 copies of the Tobiano genes which would make him a rare, precious and flashy homozygous colt !
We can't express how thankful we are for him, and for having you Roszicka, who just surpasses herself everytime.
Oh and... congrats Copabella Visage on your first North American foal born on North American soil πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
So now..... we need names in V.... Lover LS
