Foal Update

19th February 2010

Cascade remained behind with the herd at Copabella a few days ago when his mum returned to Redleaf. Neither party seemed particularly concerned, which always makes the weaning process easier. Next will be Victoria, who is actually looking almost as big as Cascade.

Rachael Lee's beautiful mare Guyana and her colt foal Jet have also joined the herd, with a view to weaning in another month or so. And Voltage has been permitted to rejoin the herd after getting the snip yesterday, poor lad. Adonis, meanwhile, is looking smug and remains entire.

Marie Geppert has also been in touch to report on the progress of her Visage filly Vitesse Arrive, who was born more than three weeks premature about three months ago. The filly, known as Emma, is now a strapping big girl who is showing no ill effects from her early entry into the world.
